Inspiration for Sumer Beach Storm Collection

Inspiration for my current Beach Storm came from close to home- one of my favourite local beaches at Ocean Grove. Always beautiful colours after stormy weather which influenced the colour swatches for the range.

The Sea grass design was influenced by the abundance of sea grass in our coastal waters which is home too many fabulous aquatic creatures including seahorses and sea dragons.

One of the other major design influences for this range was of one of my favourite plants - the Red Teatree. My parents had one of these trees in their garden when I was growing up and I always loved the colour and smell.

The final design element for the range is for a small ground cover which grows abundantly throughout my own gardens - the Australian Seaside Daisy.

New Range - Summer Beach Storm Collection

Today I am releasing a new range into my Spoonflower Store entitled Summer Beach Storm Collection. I am thrilled with the colour combinations and cannot wait to test some of the linen out in my own new lounge coverings.

Excitement!

       Beautiful hot summer days, sand between the toes, exciting thunderstorms and the onset of the cool southerly wind change through the surrounding bushland. Magnificent sunrises and sunsets over the crashing waves on the shore. All of these things speak of an Australian summertime to me and it was with these things in mind that I have created my first collection for Emmaline Fabrics. 

I am very excited to reveal that the release date for this range "Summer Storm Beach Collection" is just a few days away - 23rd January 2013. Designs from this range will be available in a range of fabrics including quilting cotton, linen, canvas, knit and silk via our Spoonflower store.
